The IPC of 2021 establishes basic standards for plumbing facilities and allows for the admission of novel and cutting-edge systems, materials, and products. The Code Council published an independent research comparing model plumbing regulations in October 2019. According to the study, counties that used the IPC during a 12-year period saved $38 billion in construction expenses, produced 1,000,000 tonnes less carbon dioxide, added 166,000 jobs, and saved 880 million feet of pipe. In comparison to the same home built to other codes, a single-family home might, on average, save up to $4,000 in labour, materials, and overhead. The 2021 IPC makes some significant modifications, one of which is the acceptance of facilities with multiple users that can accommodate both sexes.
